Community Forum - June 1, 2019

A Community School Forum is a large, yearly, collaborative planning session between all stakeholders in our community including families, students, administrators, teachers, staff and community partners.  PS 192 shares an updated on the state of the school, review progress made over the last school year in developing and implementing the Community School vision and plan for the school.  The purpose of holding this event is to share information on the state of the school, engage in collaborative planning, providing a forum for interactive discussions around the main focus areas while energizing and building community.
 
Results of the June 1, 2019 Community Forum
 
  • Over 50 school community members attended
  • Community Members shared vision for parent empowerment for the 2019-2020 school year
  • Families had access to health and wellness providers that offered information on physical, emotional, financial wellness

  • Spanish classes for English speaking students
  • Parenting classes in English
  • Interest in music program/visual arts/theater
  • Opportunities for after school tutoring
  • Interest in exposure to curriculum
  • Parent engagement opportunities offered in the evenings and weekends
