Instructional Focus

Our instructional focus at P.S. 192 is to provide a comprehensive and challenging education that empowers students to become lifelong learners. We strive to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected.

Our curriculum is centered around the core subjects of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. We use a variety of teaching methods and materials to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn and succeed. We also place a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

In addition to the core subjects, we also offer instruction in physical education, art, music, and technology. These subjects are designed to help students develop important skills and to appreciate the value of a well-rounded education.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a crucial part of our instructional focus. We aim to foster students' emotional intelligence and well-being by providing them with the tools to understand and manage their emotions, develop positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

We believe that parent involvement is crucial to student success. We encourage parents to be active participants in their child's education and to work in partnership with us to support their child's learning.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare our students for academic success in middle and high school and to help them become responsible and productive members of society.
