PS192 as the hope for the future
“At PS192, each student’s journey is a tapestry woven from threads of knowledge and character. As parents and guardians, your encouragement is the loom on which their futures are crafted, strong and bright.” -Hilduara
Inspirational Poem to Parents and Guardians
Whispers of Spring
Whispers of spring, they softly rise, Beneath the brightening azure skies. Buds bloom with promise, pure and new, A season’s turn, a vibrant hue. Parents, guardians, watch with pride, As children laugh and step outside. Learning grows in sunlit beams, Nurtured by your hopeful dreams. Together let’s embrace the spring,
With open hearts, what joy it brings! For in each flower, leaf, and wing, Lies the beauty of change, the eternal spring.

We encourage you to consider various enriching activities for your children during this period, such as exploring the diverse museums our city offers or engaging with the events and resources at the Public Library, including borrowing books for home reading.
Please be informed that PS192 has a comprehensive schedule of events and activities planned around the recess. The following are key dates and events:
- Applications for 3K, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Middle School for the 2024-2025 academic year are due.
- Coffee with the Principal, Parent Association meeting, and Valentine’s Day Celebration will take place on February 14th in the Gymnasium at 8:00 a.m.
- Graduation Meetings are scheduled for February 29th, with Pre-K & Kindergarten from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 5th Grade from 3:20 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Library.
We cordially invite you to establish a weekly dialogue with your child’s teacher, utilizing email, our school website, or ClassDojo, to discuss and monitor your child’s social-emotional and academic growth. Your proactive involvement is greatly valued and plays a crucial role in their educational journey.
We extend our best wishes for a tranquil and enjoyable Mid-Winter Recess to all families.
Sincerely,

ID- To ensure the safety of children, and as per DOE regulation, you always need to bring your photo I.D when you come to your child’s school.
We highly recommend taking the time each week to touch base with your child's teachers. Whether through email, in-person meetings, ClassDojo, or virtual conferences, staying connected can greatly enhance your child's educational experience.
Library Mornings Program- We would like to inform all Parents and Guardians that the library is open for your use with your children from Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 7:50 am. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to borrow books, work on computers, and practice reading.
Lost Items - Please note that if your child misplaces any belongings, you are encouraged to visit the lost and found area. Items that remain unclaimed by the end of each month will be thoughtfully donated to the Salvation Army.
