Self Care Development December 2022

Today at P.S.192, we had an incredibly beneficial self-care development activity led by BrainPower. The theme of the activity was "Reducing Anxiety and Stress" and it focused on the importance of incorporating mindfulness practices into our daily routine as a means of self-care.

 

BrainPower began the session by discussing the benefits of mindfulness for our mental and emotional well-being. He explained how practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress, improve focus, and increase self-awareness. He also emphasized the importance of finding a mindfulness practice that we enjoy and that fits into our daily routine.

During the session, we participated in different mindfulness practices such as guided meditation, visualization, and mindful movement. These exercises were designed to help us relax, release tension, and increase self-awareness. The session was not only physically calming, but also mentally invigorating.

 

Overall, the "Mindfulness and Self-Care" self-care development activity was a great reminder of the importance of incorporating mindfulness practices into our daily routine as a means of self-care. We are grateful to BrainPower for leading such a valuable and meaningful session. We encourage all teachers at P.S. 192 to make time for regular self-care activities like this one to help maintain their mental and emotional well-being.
